BOCK MUSIC STUDIO (Kindermusik) POLICIES

đź“… Calendar

Our classes run more or less during the “school year.” However, each teacher—both Ms. Ann and Ms. Emily—sets their own schedules regarding start and end dates, breaks, and time off. Some of this is reflected in our class schedule, but each teacher will also keep families informed about their specific calendar.
During the summer, we will offer various special classes or playdates.

đź’˛ Fees

Tuition is charged monthly during the school year and includes access to digital materials (music, stories, etc.) that accompany the class.

  • Foundations, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3: $65 per student/month (40-minute weekly class)
  • Kindermusik Musicians: $70 per student/month (60-minute weekly class)
  • Tuition is due during the first week of each month.

Registration Fee: $20 per family per year, non-refundable and due at the time of registration.

Family Discount: $10 off per month for each additional child in the same family. The discount is applied to the youngest child’s tuition.

Refund Policy:
Refunds will only be considered on a case-by-case basis for serious illness or unexpected family moves.
No refunds are given for missed classes, but make-up classes may be scheduled if space allows. Please notify your teacher if you plan to attend a make-up class.

❄️ Class Cancellation / Snow Days

If a teacher cancels a class due to illness or inclement weather, she will either:

  • Provide a make-up class, or
  • Prorate your tuition accordingly

We do not automatically follow Gretna Public Schools for snow days, as our families come from multiple districts.
Each teacher will assess weather and communicate directly with families.

🚪 Withdrawal

If you need to discontinue classes, please notify your teacher at least one week in advance. This allows us to offer the spot to someone on the waitlist.
If you wish to return later, you're welcome to rejoin if a spot is available in the class.

🩺 Illness and Safety Policy

If your child is sick (fever, vomiting, etc.), please keep them home for their comfort and to protect others.
Instruments are disinfected after each class. Hand sanitizer is also available.

👨‍👩‍👧 Siblings

For Foundations, Level 1, and Level 2, a caregiver attends the class with the child.

  • If a younger sibling is in a carrier and not disruptive, there’s no extra charge.
  • If a sibling participates, they will need to be enrolled, or sit nearby quietly with an activity.

ℹ️ Additional Information

  • Caregivers are expected to actively participate in class with their child.
  • Please silence phones during class.
  • Do not bring outside toys or special treasures—they distract other children.
  • No snacks during class. Please feed your child beforehand.
Water bottles or baby feeding (nursing/bottles) are totally fine.
